Please indulge me in a few extra pics. It’s only joining two bits of glorified packing foam together I know!
I went to a lot of trouble to join them as accurately as I could. Even so there is a slight burn down at one join that will need a little sanding to smoothly feather it in.
I was going to go ahead with the antenna but ran into a glitch with the toroids that are required (passive RF filters) and just to be safe I’ll get some from the USA that I know are the correct frequency.
For now, I’m storing the winglets and looking at doing more joining work on the main wing foam which has many little parts to join before I can look at making the wing jigs.
Still, its nice to see something that looks like it might go on an aeroplane.
