Templates taken from the Plans ‘A’ sheets are needed to be pinned onto the wing end pieces so that the W.L. (water line) and level can be established for setting up the cores.
I just photocopied the sheets, taped the various bits together and then mounted them. One lot I used a hard laminex backing which needed glue and detailed trimming.
All that is really needed however is the plans cut out on paper with lots of wide clear tape to make them strong. I did this with a few of the later ones and might redo a couple using this method. Its an easy cut out with scissors too.
Most templates go on both left and right so tracing on a window is an easy way to see the required center line. The outline of the template is needed to help transfer this center line, mainly at BL 17.4 for the wings.
While I did several here are a few pics. The plans don’t seem very exact, I just did the best I could with a bit of common sense.
