It took another day or so to shape the 1″ thick pieces so they were exactly the same and mated with the top of the jig. This is to ensure I end up with equal sides. These pieces are really the top and bottom of the spar which is made sideways in the jig. They are urethane in the plans, I’ll have none of that in my plane and prefer divinycell.
In pic1 you can see depressions made for later metal pieces that will hold the wings. Its amazing that this begins with foam you can dent with your fingers and easily break in one hand.
Once all 6 pieces were done I trial fitted the back 3 pieces and then microed them in place.
