More cleanup and prep work. I microed the rudder conduit in place and as you can see in the pics used pins to hold them down while the micro sets overnight.

You may notice another cable run that is 2″ towards the leading edge from the spar cap all the way down. This is black18awg aviation wire that is inside 2.5mm preshrunk white heat shrink tube.

OK what I’m doing is building a dipole HF antenna that will go from the wing root right up the winglets, one in each wing will give me the dipole. Weight one one side is just over 2ozs so if it doesn’t work out I still won’t have a lead sled. The wing run is 107″ without the winglet. It is well away from any metal and the idea of the tube is so as the wing flexes the wire will not fatigue and will just slide a little in the heat shrink.

The last pic shows that I’ve filled the slots with very dry micro. This will get a scuff before skinning the wing and then be microed with the rest of the wing surface. Doing it before hand just saves a little time on skin-the-wing day.
