After shaping the plywood standoffs down to the minimum as you see in pic 1, I had a few with the holes offset from the middle. I did a simple cure of some micro. I wanted a 1 ply of BID over the hardpoint mainly as protection for the wood and to seal out moisture.
I just made wetted out disks on plastic, cut them to shape with scissors and did the layup over the plywood. After peel ply, I put a weight on top just to be certain the glass was sitting flat.
Pic 2 and 3 show the standoffs in position. I was going to add some flox per the pant instructions to ensure a good surface between the brackets, axle and the pant. It seems it wasn’t needed. I can live with that.
