All that flox needs a bit of peel ply to hold it in place. You have to be careful not to tighten up the bolts too much or you bend the top plate. The flox and glass is to give you something to tighten on after cure so all thats needed now is getting it in position.
I kept an eye on it during cure but still had a little bubble of air which I filled later. This aside it worked out well. The plate released easily and I had a few hours of fun cleaning it up with the dremel.
