The nut plates took a while but it’s a fun sort of job. Drilling, countersinking and riveting.
Pic two shows that I can get a plastic sock around the actuator through my plate and no need to stick or join the plastic. Just a hole in the middle works pretty well. So this test worked. I have since found a bit of sail material for the job.
Pic 3 shows another time soak where I had to countersink the nutplates into the receiving piece of nose strut cover. I did glue the plate down and ensured that the 5 minute glue I used also sealed the bare foam. Take my word for it, that plate now fits and is glued in place.
By the Way … these last two log entries have been spread over a month. It’s one of those fill in jobs that I do on the side.
