Again over several days. I worked out that 7 plys of this thin grey tape would equal some filler, primer and paint. I then carefully covered the brake with 7 layers of tape for another try at using micro to get great edges.

I used weights to ensure it was all sitting a flush to the fuselage as possible while it cured.

It turned out that a small amount of micro made it past the release film and it took about 6 hours to get the brake unstuck without damage. Note to self…more release material next time. A little scary.

You can see in the last pic some cleanup is needed. Its easy to remove the 3 screws holding the brake to do the work.
