Making the brake’s core needs to be done so that it fits exactly into the resess previously cut out. I could have done a better job but it is tricky.
What happens next is that the core needs to be glued in, but not so strongly that it can not be pulled out. I used 5mt epoxy and later found that some edges were not quite down so added a little sparingly.
The weights helped as the core is quite curved but it didn’t quite do the job. If too much glue is used the core will be destroyed when you try to get it out later.
Of course the top will be proud of the fuselage at this stage.
