Pic one shows the shear web area after micro. I went to a slightly wetter micro mix and this seems ideal. #4 in my testing if you want to check that out. 0.16g micro to 1gram epoxy.
I had the very capable Michael Wood again with me on this layup and it took several hours less than the right wing. It looks very good.
Knowing what to do makes a huge difference yet we are still tweaking the techniques. Whatever way you look at it there are some big layups in the wing section. Spar caps in particular take a while and a lot of bending over the table.
Next up is to let the wing cure which means leaving the heater on for a day. It’s very cold outside being mid winter here but a toasty 26C in the layup room anytime of the year.
