This step took several days. I routed a hole through the fuselage per plans just wide enought to fit the actuator. Then a depression is needed to permit a glass to glass bond from LB23 (the wooden hinge hard point) and the floor. This also gives a glass to glass for the inside layup over the brake depression.
I went slowly and it took a while as I wanted to reduce the chances of air in the layup. I checked the position of the brake by 5mt epoxy positioning of the moving part to ensure the LB23 slot was in the right place and that there would be enough clearance for the LB18 brackets and that things would sit square and line up with the center lines I’d drawn.
I then used dry micro to fill the larger gaps in the brake area.
