Another 3 days work here. I fitted the top of the seat (not shown) and was now in a position to continue with the additional side supports. Just before that I did fit and flox in the back of the front storage pocket. This is the center cavity you see in pic 3. This will be one of many little spots that I hope will be very useful given I’ll have no side baggage storage and will be more like a Vari-EZ in the cockpit.
Pic 1 shows that I’ve made more foam covered pieces. Both sides have 1 ply of BID and were done on succeeding days. You can see the two curved items which I did over a big piece of plastic pipe and a heat gun. Pic 3 shows where they ended up. As I have raised the seat bottom to create storage I also have to be mindful of where the seat belts will hang and the need to enclose the store area.
Pic two has the extra side pieces now cut out and fitted which pretty well took most of a day. The mouse holes are for side console screw access.
Pic 3 shows the side pieces floxed in place. The sticks across them are hot glued in place to ensure the supports are correct for curing. I’ve also used a few pins to hold the curved pieces.
