It is a requirement to have the word experimental visible when someone enters the plane. The letters must be 50mm high or more.

I should have used stick on ones as they are cheap and easy. The issue is they do come off after a while and my surface is not smooth so they will come off fast. I went for an expensive paint mask instead.

Lots of work to get to this stage.

Some of the paint got under the letters so it is not the nice crisp edge I had hoped for. Maybe I will touch it up, maybe not. I am slightly amused that the word ‘experimental’ looks imperfect. After all, its an experiment right? So maybe I will leave it just as it is, as a statement.

Another requirement is the placard saying CASA is not responsible. They are not, I am. So if you fly with me, know that I have gone to incredible lengths to ensure my own safety and set my own very high airworthy standards.

My MENTAL status is rock solid and the focus is always on safety when I fly as well as during the whole build process. You get to decide if this declaration is OK should you be invited onboard.
