There was quite a lot of clean up after the top mounts cured. Those chipboard blocks I’d 5mt glued to the spar took a good hour to remove. They were very handy for clamping and worth the time. You can’t see where they were now. I was pretty careful trimming the glass and transitioning edges.
The mounts get 4 X AN4 bolts each to secure them. The bottom ones need to go through the wooden blocks installed when the spar is made. The plans say the blocks are to be 3″ long BUT I should have ignored this and put them through to the spar cap as is shown in a later CP drawing. The plans bolt positions would have me put them half through foam instead of hardwood and the front one gets positioned right on an angles corner.
I checked out my construction pics as you see in pic 3 and confirmed where the blocks were and just moved the bolt positions a few tenths of an inch to ensure they will do their job.
The bolt lengths in the plans are wrong too. The front one takes a seat belt strap so needs to be longer. I ran out of time and the right size bolts so this is an easy job to finish for later.
