Time for the slightly nerve wracking job of cutting the canard cover piece out. This means two cuts with everything in line and I have to admit I took a while just laying out the lines and thinking about where things need to go. I’ve hot glued the hatches in place too. It keeps things stable.
I really did this over a couple of days as I wanted to put a lip on one cut line before the second cut. I’ve detailed that in the next log.
I’ve put a couple of pics in again just to show this easy cutting method. I hot glue rulers next to the lines and then use thin bladed hobby saws to do the cuts. I move the rulers and reglue as required and use the tip of the blade for curves just free hand.
It works out OK.
