This is CS4 the top or lid as I’m calling it of the spar box. This step should have been done earlier however it suited me to leave it until I was ready for the part.
Its just 1 ply of BID on the three pieces that close off the box. I use weights and things to hold down the thin pieces.
Its the standard microslurry first then 1 ply on top. Surprising how long something pretty straight forward like this takes.
After cure it needed a trim. I haven’t done the knife trim thing as the plans say. I just let it cure then cut with power tools and finish off with permagrit files. I feel in control this way even if it takes longer. The knife trim always has me worried about disturbing the layup and of course timing it perfectly.
