This all took place on the 19/2/14 but the way this log software works I’ve put the first steps here so it appears in order.
After preparing the foam and taping the edges I mixed the usual micro and covered the shear web area. I gave it a bit of time and then placed the first layer of cloth. It was pretty easy to get it lined up nicely as the micro wasn’t too wet.
I wet it out with a microfiber 100mm roller. My room temp was 26C and it worked out pretty well. UNI is nice to deal with.
It took a lot of time to trim the edges on both sides. My technique being to get the top of the spar with the UNI cloth on, lined up well, wet that out and then deal with the sides using my fingers initially. Then a brush and then squeegee.
