This is prep for the bottom spar cap of the SC spar.
You can see in pic one the extended ends so that no bunching up can happen on the layup.
I did a lot of pre cut work as in Pic 2. I’ve also marked out the center points and the angles on the tape. To this I started the key thread at the center points and another at one end. This means the key can be removed just for the center flat section and then later for the two angled sides. This means we can get the fibers straight inn the middle, wet it out and then do the side bits. An improvement on the top layup.
The last pic show the prepped trough.
