A little more finishing off work on the canopy rail. The forward section has some exposed foam and I wanted to tie the two sides together with just one ply of BID.
I had a few scraps of BID, great to use these up. Not as much is wasted as you’d think.
The usual layup on foil and the transferred to the job.
All done and peel plied. I’m getting close to this frame being done for now.
The crossover or “spreader” has been floxed in place but I found it really useful for getting settled in the back seat. This means the GIB would be putting their full weigh on it at times.
I’ve gone for a four ply BID reinforcement at the attachment points.
A couple of shots of the end rail. All spar cap UNI. In the pic below I’ve rounded the edges, not so that you’d notice. This doesn’t need any more glass I’ve decided. Just a light fill, sand and paint. Well I’m not going to be painting until next year the way things are going.
