This step was just the .2″ notches for the hinges. I marked them out and then took most of the meat off with the dremel and a router attachment. It all still takes a while to do carefully.
Next up finishing by hand with permagrit files. Love these things. As you see in pic 1 a nice flat tool does the job. Pic 2 has the notches done. Pic 3 a good fit for the hinges. The trick here is to angle the top of the slot on the inside to allow for the way these hinges are made. If you form a bit of a point to the inside they will sit flush. Easy.
