Build start DEC 1 2011
Today is DEC 1 2018
Seven years building
This year the canopy, strakes were built and the turtleback rollover, a part of all that. Then a move to a YMMB (Moorabbin Airport) hangar for a full time slog to the finishing line.
The canopy was some achievement with many, many challenges.
The strakes were a LOT of work.
There was a leak one side that was a bear to find and don’t get me started about the profiles.
I made some progress this year with the wire book and getting the electronics planned. Wiring hasn’t really begun yet. The fuel gauge sensors, sight gauges were all sorted.
The project was moved to a hangar and the firewall lengthened to get a set of Melvill cowls on.
Now its on to the finish line. My goal is taxi tests by the end of 2019. Wish me luck, there is still SO MUCH to do.
