Just how to get these vents secured is interesting.
First up I worked a little more on the NACA’s and the shapes are coming together.
The depth is about a half inch so far and I can probably make the outlet right at the end.
I played around with various materials and decided on a PVC pipe angled would do the job of a stand off for the vent itself.
The pipe I’d made would have a lot of challenges to fasten the vent to. I grabbed my bits and ventured down to a local hardware store and found some other pipe fittings for my job. The one in the foreground is what I started with and behind that is what will work on the right side. I then cut a vent down on my sander, and I now have a friction fit of the vent itself.
Here’s how it will fit in the canopy, I should have no problem getting air directly on my face. I’ll start on the left side mount tomorrow.
