The 114kg box of CNC Eureka blue foam cores arrive about 30 minutes before darkness. It should have the foam for the wings ailerons and canard.
The box was very heavy and a challenge to get off the small delivery truck. While it may have fitted through the back gate I then had a tree in the way. So the box was VERY carefully pulled apart in situ using a work light in my laneway. It had a lot of packing foam chips which I bagged on the spot or would have had a real mess in the morning.
After getting the top off a got a few packing pieces inside and then removed a box side making more things easier to remove. It took nearly 3 hours to get all the foam out and up my stairs and the packing box into pieces so I could store it for later removal.
The cost of getting the cores here was unbelievable and I have to ensure door to door NOT door to wharf as it was double what it might have been otherwise. Nothing I could do in this case unfortunately.
The point is they are here and I am building an aeroplane.
Box will not fit through the gate
