I spent many hours on this although all you see now is the hole. Pic 1 was a lot of planning. I tested the light at night and found once I put a decent battery in the circuit it is nice and bright. I have it wired up to a few switches but find it tough to understand the wiring. I’ve asked the manufacturers for a diagram but zero response. It is an old model they no longer make.
Pic two has the cutout done for now and a dome. I’ve cut the dome up and fitted it to the nose. The concept works but I need a thicker plastic. What I have looses all its strength once you cut out the boarder. I do have proof of concept though.
I’d like to cut the light cavity further down the nose but I am worried about the stress on the bumper/nose puck if I ever do a wheels up. More thought about this one.
I’ve also played for hours with my heated pilot and where it is going to sit. I was going to do a glider style inverted version but there is just not enough room. More thought here too.
Of some interest is if I paint a fish head on the nose. For now a clowns face would work. I have made a lot of extra work with this nose light concept.
