This foam has had a lot of time with the heat gun on it working to get the contour without burning. A couple of hours fiddling around just with that. It has a few minor marks and a couple of very small dents which some stiff micro will take care of.
While the top foam piece was still in the full jig I added a lot of 5 mt glue to the underside. Now with the top half of the jig removed my foam is staying to the exact contour. A bit like when we made the landing brake a long time ago.
This is a nice job for a roller as you see in Pic 2. A very nice way to do a curved surface. Love the roller.
Pic 3 has the micro, 2 plies of BID and peel ply on top all done. Its going to be fun getting this off the jig later after a full cure. So far so good.
