Quite a bit of time fiddling around doing trial fittings. The CS150 bearing is in place and as you can see held in with two AN bolts into the nutplates. I did add 2 pliess of BID over the top of the metal locator first, let it cure and then cut the hole for the plastic bearing and opened up the bolt holes too.
Next up was a bit of trial fitting that I’m still doing. I have made up the CS129 tube with inserts for the rod ends. For now I’m using some plastic ones while waiting for the metal rod ends to arrive. I’ll give specs on those later.
I wanted to see how the metal parts were going to move around as you can see in pic 2 I have to revise the clearances at the top and I’ve cut the aileron to wing root tube as well, CS151. Just working to pin on the universal join with taper pins.
Yes the taper pins are AN386-1-7 and I’ve sourced some washers, AN975-3 which you can see in pic 3. I have the #1 taped reamer for this and have practiced getting a few holes before the real thing.
