While I spread this over three entries here the wing root thing took a whole week working nearly full time.
On the end block I’d previously patched it so it was a matter of cutting through the patch and getting a lot of the waste material out as you can see done by pic three. I spent a lot of time with the plans on this getting my head around what was needed exactly. …and then more time checking things and playing with bits of hardware that haven’t arrived yet to imagine the clearances required.
Pic two shows the inboard rib now with a clean glass area around the edges of about .7″ I used a router to get a fairly even depth cut in the foam and then just carefully sanded out the rest. That was a much easier job than the rib in the FC1 block.
