Pic 1 has that lump of foam microed to the gear leg. Once cured I trimmed things up a bit and then went on to add reinforcement flox to the sides of the little green ‘ears’. Pic 2 shows that I had to dam up the lower floxed areas as I just didn’t want to take the gear leg off. Too fiddly.
Once cured that area took about an hour to clean up and then I again trimmed the foam to size. You can see in pic 3 that I have it a bit below the level of where I want the final faring height to end up. I used the careful scientific process know as ‘by eye’. This was over 3 days.
