Both sides of the canard cover needed a lip to rest on. It seemed prudent to do this while I still had the top section off.
Pic one shows the layup with carefully positioned grey duct tape for a release. Pic 2 shows after cure. Yes I made the lip really big and I’ve since cut it back for a neater fit. The same thing with the lip in the third pic. I’ll have to do flox corners and a ply of BID later to seal the bare foam. I’ll wait until its all fitting nicely.
The slightest movement opens up the joins so everything needs to be carefully positioned before the final fit. That will probably be after I get a canopy!
