This took a couple of days.
Its first fitting H35 divinycell blocks just the forward side of F22. I had a few goes with my ample supply of foam off cuts and finally worked out how to get the 6.1″ gap for the rudder pedals correct. You can see the ruler in the first pic. I just made some foam stick the correct length.
These doubled up as clamps when it came time to micro things together. Pics 2 & 3 show the blocks in place.
I looked at some on line pics and other people make the blocks longer and they meet at the top forward of the pedals.
The forces of the pedals pivot to the rear so no extra strength in making them longer IMHO. It would make the coming layup easier however. I’ll go for a bit harder but less weight.
