My first setup attempt was to get the four jigs out and glue them with 5 mt epoxy to the canard base. Then I set up the elevator with the hinges loosly in the slots using the jigs to assume I was all correct. I again used the 5mt araldyte and mixing sticks to secure the hinges.
Of course I first spent ages tweaking the slots, playing with the depth and so on, it goes without saying. …oh and I was still tweaking them a day later…
After a couple of attempts at this I let it all cure and then expected to see the correct range of elevator movement. HA!
Nope, not even close. As the sun had set for the day and I was out of ideas and thought it a good time to leave things alone and try again tomorrow.
