This step is really just a big clean up. I removed all the excess bondo from the gear slowly with the dremel.
Then it was a matter of leaving a marker so that I could get the tubes back in the same position later. You can see in Pic2 how this lines up with a bit of stick. I have lots of pics.
Then the tubes had to come out without disturbing the plywood tabs. I was VERY careful and got them out without a problem.
Last job here was to position the gear bow so it was stable for more prep and then the first layers of glass. The plans say use two foam blocks but I found this unstable and after a bit of head scratching made up a simple clamping jig that is nice and steady as in Pic 3.
