This build is getting pretty close to drawing up all the paperwork. A critical part of this is the weight and balance. I’m splitting this task into two parts. This is the measure up.

This is my friend Darren who has done this before on his own build. Here we are dropping plumb bobs to make marks on the floor.

The airplane is leveled with zero at the longerons. The prop is also in place as we need that measurement too.

We snapped chalk lines on the floor between the marked areas.

After we did the measure, we made a point in the front seat area to mark extra items from, our datum. It could have been anywhere, just near the instrument panel made sense.

Here are our numbers from the day. Not so neat and tidy  but critical measurements. The next step is to get the scales out and see what we have.
